Oxfordshire is getting ready for the 5th year of Wilderness taking place from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th August. Set in the glorious rolling countryside of Oxfordshire in Cornbury Park with forests and lakes – for early morning swimming – it aims to strike a balance between relaxation and revelry, artistic refinement and simple pleasures.
The festival will kick of with Björk showcasing music from her latest album Vulnicura. The Icelandic songwriter will be joined by London born pianist Benjamin Clementine, electro experimentalists Brandt Bauer Frick Ensemble and Nils Frahm, who mixes classical and electronic genres.
For those festival goers not quite ready to leave their luxury behind, head to Boutique Camping, which has a wonderful array of structures from tipis, huts and yurts to wagons and caravans, to make your Wilderness experience one you won't forget. Boutique campers will have exclusive use of luxury loos and showers to keep you clean, and fantastic bars and restaurants to keep you nourished.
Alternatively, it's time to dust down your tent and find your spot in one of the many festival campsites.
For the foodies out there, Wilderness has the ultimate choice this year to make sure you don't go hungry. Chefs including Raymond Blanc, Moro, Angela Hartnett and Mark Hix are all providing incredible feasts and banquets throughout the weekend. And then of course you'll find food stalls from all around the world to satsify you at most hours of the day!
If Boutique Camping still doesn't provide enough luxury for you, then a room at Trinity House Bed and Breakfast has your name on it, along with the ultimate English breakfast to set you up for a day of festival fun!
